What does the future look like?
Who shapes it, who gets lost in it.
Diamond, silicon, gold, platinum, lithium, mined, carried, stacked on, bodies and bones.
Blood, oil, water mixed together, in a river downstream, the runoff of the present, a future that finds our fossils to burn, like those before us.
Or is our future different?

Cyberpunk as a genre, is often a warning that our technology will outpace our social growth and emotional intelligence. High tech:Low life.
The threat of this, is often rooted in the incentives that creators of tech have, to benefit monetarily off the backs of the people it could be used to serve.
lyrics
Eyes up
Sun sets down
Nobody wins when we worship the crown
Weeds through concrete
Blood in the soil
Bones ground up and the lungs full of oil
Set free
Light through rain
Ruin and dust, to the temples of pain
Weeds through concrete
Blood in the soil
Bones ground up and the lungs full of oil.
Eyes up
Sun sets down
Fire in the forge dripping blood of the crown
Roots cut deep through the cities and streets
Fruit of the wasteland, raised up to reap
The streets are hard but the spirits harder
Societies that aim to squeeze the life blood out us as the profit fodder
A river formed iridescent in the blood soaked gutter
Washing down the: tears, hopes, dreams, fears of -
Another one with escape plans, to get up out of the city limits
The city limits:
What you will see
When you can breath
Who you can be
Can you be free
It’s everything
The stars in your sky, cut out horizons in a windows pain
This frame, this order's
Pay to win. These borders,
Formed of steel and mortar.
Disorder for order -
Got wars for water, for oil, silicon, drugs, and new soil
Stew is cooking up with people inside, who would watch it boil;
But some come out of the pressure and heat, brighter than any of the lights passing by, on these neon streets.
Stars formed in the shadows of nightless sky
Eyes up
Sun sets down
Nobody wins when we worship the crown
Weeds through concrete
Blood in the soil
Bones ground up and the lungs full of oil.
Set free
Light through rain
Ruin and dust to the temples of pain
Weeds through concrete
Blood in the soli
Bones ground up and the lungs full of oil.
Lucid dreams, standing free on the canopy
Searching for green, but don't hand me no can of peas
I think you angered the acer
Cuz you can't appease
I'm not the bomb yet, I'm still tickin
Why does everything around seem so different
It feels like the walls are closing in
I guess I'm just trippin
Had to give back to the hood
Cuz robin wouldn't give in
Concocting noxious tombs in the fumes, listening sniffing
Hungry and still climbing
Y'all only know to start Ramadan
And whilst I climb in
The window of opportunity is open
Opposition impotent
Trying to stay afloat
Snakes in the grass, ripping poison into my moat
Cold world, with not enough time for everyone to grab a coat
Now imagine the glory of the madness in the story
A dragon that's attacking, I'm slashing at em, destroy em
I'm on top of these hot flows, flamboyant
Extravagent
Jump in the lions cage, now watch me rattle it
Get your cattle kicked
Acting like pack mules, don't horse around
I'm here to scorch the town
And reinforce the sound
Fell into the wrong hands, when the torch was tossed around
Killers toss a round at your cap and gown
Thinking you a student of that hard knock lifestyle
Take a stand for standing rock
Don't be afraid to brandish rocks
For telling you to pipe down
One of my favorite albums, by one of my favorite artists. I love the adrenaline rush, of NEO TOKYO - but Cult of 2112 is the most epic synthwave song I've heard. Type: V
I listened to Bergschrund, on repeat when it first came out. I hate to overplay a song - so I don't often repeat plays in a row. But I loved all of the glitches, and cuts. Type: V
